Here are two further round cards:
The bear is a 3D image in pyramid technique. I found out that it’s really easy to cut but quite hard to position the layers on one another especially if they are round. The text scrap is clipped between two brads and I used sticky foam pads to raise it a little bit (this is not really visible).
For the leaf card I used some things from my stash which since then I had no real idea what to use them for. Besides the leaf skeletons I found a chipboard flower, a wooden flower button and some fuzzy yellow yarn. I inked the chipboard flower with golden pigment ink and tied everything together with the yarn. The edges of the card have been chalked.

I made this card shortly after we’ve moved to a new home. The red background was once the bottom of a chocolate box which was a welcome gift from our new neighbours. At this time all my stash was still packed up in boxes. The flower embellishments were a freebie from the Papercraft Inspiration issue which was the first to be delivered to our new address. So all in all this is a highly symbolic card!

Here you can see the result of a bargain. The flowers are cut from a wall paper border I found in a DIY store. They are layered and the flower centers are made with Liquid Pearls.

The green ribbon has been sewed onto the card. With each turn of the thread I added a bead to it. The image of the orchid has only one layer but I formed it a bit to look three dimensional.

At the last craft and hobby fair I bought some round cards. By now I really like to use them. Here’s one for a wedding congratulation.

I stamped with a rose bouquet image around the edge of the card. Then I added mini eyelets evenly spaced and threaded thin ribbon through them. The heart in the middle is embossed.

This year (like all previous) I made the resolution to publish more often. I realized I don’t have to describe every card so detailed. This just prevented me from posting. So now with this astonishing insight I will put this into action.
And here comes the first card:

The circles are connected with thin wire which has several beads on it. The images are stamped and embossed with copper embossing powder.

Recently I stumbled across a little bag of foam shapes for just 1 Euro. I thought these would be perfect for Johanna’s (nearly 2) first self made card. I let her choose the colours and how things are arranged on the card. She painted with crayons and adhered the shapes.
I love the result. It was such fun and really easy to prepare.

This year I had enough time to make a valentines card for my hubby. He was really excited.
Again 2 challenges inspired me to this card. The most obvious one was from Caardvarks who just had the rule to use a heart on the card. (Challenge post) This is not hard when doing a valentines card.
The second was the 102. Sketch-Challenge by CPS.
And here comes the card:

Not everything turned out as expected but it seldom does. Nevertheless I like the card. The saying says: “You have the key to my heart.” (more…)

My Granny’s 80th birthday is soon and for her card I was inspired by two blog challenges. The first one is from A Spoon Full of Sugar and it is called “Doodle Doo“. The second one is from Everybody Art Challenge and is named “Tag“.
The following card is the result of both:

Such a challenge is really handy for forming a first idea of a card. From there on the imagination just flows.
Especially the doodling was a lot of fun and easier than I expected. I guess I will use it more often from now on. (more…)
