Es war gut, dass ich die Inchies für Runde 3 noch am Sonntagmorgen fertig gemacht habe, denn am späten Abend am 15.3. war dann auch schon unsere Tochter da. Nachdem sie bereits 5 Tage überm Termin war, hatte sie es plötzlich eilig.

Nun, seit dem sind schon wieder fast 2 Wochen rum und so langsam kriegen wir die Kurve zurück zu ein bisschen Alltag. Heute hab ich auch mal wieder Zeit gefunden ein wenig zu basteln und was macht sich da besser als Inchies.

Hier also meine Inchies für die 4. und letzte Runde vom Inchie-Bingo:

Den Fisch hatte ich zum Glück schon fertig, da ich bereits im voraus ein paar Inchies gebastelt hatte, in der Hoffnung, dass ich ein paar der Themen treffe.

Lange hab ich den Sketch auf dem Inchie-Bingo-Blog immer wieder angesehen, ohne das mir eine Idee kam. Aber gestern abend kam mir die Idee, natürlich wieder genau zu der Zeit, wo ich eigentlich schlafen wollte. Naja, dann hab ich die Idee im Kopf noch ein bissl ausgearbeitet und dann heute umgesetzt. Dabei hab ich den Sketch einmal gedreht.

Bei dieser Karte habe ich fast ausschließlich mit VersaMark-Tinte und Kreide gearbeitet. Nur der Schmetterling ist jeweils mit schwarz gestempelt, damit er sich besser vom Hintergrund abhebt.

Inchies kenne ich eigentlich schon eine Weile, aber erst jetzt hab ich mich mal rangetraut. Dazu animiert hat mich die Idee vom Inchie-Bingo. Hierfür habe ich heute die ersten 4 Themen-Inchies gemacht. Ist echt ne Herausforderung, auf so kleinem Raum zu denken, aber es hat riesig Spaß gemacht.

Hier meine Bingo-Karte bis jetzt:

Das Bingo läuft den ganzen März über, aber ich werde wahrscheinlich nicht bis zum Ende mitmachen können. Dafür ist es ein wunderbarer Zeitvertreib, während ich darauf warte, dass die Geburt losgeht.

Mission accomplished! After several months I finally reorganised my desk. My own stamp display is the centrepiece off my desk now. But I was truly astonished how fast it was full. I bought this beautiful display when a nearby stamp shop had to close last year.

I’m still not finished reorganising but at least I can work on my desk again and now have a much better overview over the most important part of my stash. With such a tiny space you always find something to optimise.

This year I had enough time to make a valentines card for my hubby. He was really excited.

Again 2 challenges inspired me to this card. The most obvious one was from Caardvarks who just had the rule to use a heart on the card. (Challenge post) This is not hard when doing a valentines card. The second was the 102. Sketch-Challenge by CPS.

And here comes the card:

Not everything turned out as expected but it seldom does. Nevertheless I like the card. The saying says: “You have the key to my heart.”Now for the description of the card:

Material:

• gray card
• patterned paper
• reddish paper
• heart stamp
• script stamp
• gold metal foil (a bit thicker)
• some lace
• VersaMark ink
• transparent embossing powder
• brown chalk
• ruby ink
• dark-red pen

Stamp the heart with VersaMark ink onto the reddish paper and emboss it with transparent powder. Cut it out and cut a key hole shape in the middle of it. Draw the key on the foil and cut it out. Be careful, the foil can be quite sharp! Then work the foil with an embossing pen to make it more 3-dimensional. Therefor use the small end on the front to “portion” the key and the bigger end on the back to round the key.

Cut the patterned paper and chalk its border with the brown chalk. Attach the lace to the lower border on the back of the paper. Ink the border of the card with ruby ink and stamp with the script stamp and VersaMark ink on its left side.

Attach the patterned paper on the card and glue down the heart overlapping it. Place the key on the patterned paper with foam pads. Finally write the saying with the red pen beneath it.

My Granny’s 80th birthday is soon and for her card I was inspired by two blog challenges. The first one is from A Spoon Full of Sugar and  it is called “Doodle Doo“. The second one is from Everybody Art Challenge and is named “Tag“.

The following card is the result of both:

Such a challenge is really handy for forming a first idea of a card. From there on the imagination just flows.

Especially the doodling was a lot of fun and easier than I expected. I guess I will use it more often from now on.

Here comes a little description of the card.
Material:

• white square card
• purple cardstock
• light-purple wallpaper or other structured paper
• patterned paper
• white gel pen
• Cuttlebug alphabet or similar die-cut numbers
• purple pen
• purple chalk
• narrow and broad purple ribbon
• purple eyelet
• border stamp
• white ink, best is StazOn
• purple half-pearls

Cut the numbers from the purple cardstock using the Cuttlebug. Draw a wavy line onto them with the white gel pen. Cut a tag from the patterned paper, draw some faux stitches with the purple pen and chalk the border. Set the eyelet on the top of the tag and attach the narrow ribbon to it. Glue the numbers to the tag.

Cut a square from the cardstock and the wallpaper with each one 1cm smaller than the other. Attach the wallpaper square to the cardstock one and glue the broad ribbon over the lower third of both. Best is to fasten the ribbon ends on the back with tape. Stamp the border with white ink onto the ribbon. The easiest are acrylic stamps especially if the stamp is shorter than the ribbon. Attach the whole thing to the white card.

Doodle some flowers onto another piece of cardstock and cut them out. Attach tag and flowers with foam pads on the card. Then decorate the border of the purple cardstock with doodles. At last glue some half-pearls on the lower edge of the wallpaper.

As with every year I couldn’t resist to make some New Year’s reolutions although I never strictly stick to them and of course some of these concern my hobby.

First I want to make my first 12×12 layout and maybe this could be the first page of our wedding album. Although I already have enough ideas for some layouts I always confined to making mini albums. I found they are somewhat easier to make.

Furthermore I want to use all those stamps I have not yet used and to use up some of that hoarded stash. Before that I will buy nothing new.

And of course I resolved to write more blog posts this year. There is enough material to write about.

So now I wish myself and all people with New Year’s resolutions good luck and hopefully a productive year!

Material: grüne und lila Tapete oder Papier weißes Papier schwarzer Tonkarton schwarzer Marker schwarzer Fineliner schwarze Knöpfe weiße Pailletten 4 kleine gelbe Brads oranges Schleifenband weißer Gel-Pen Diese Karte ist nach einer Idee aus der Papercraft Inspiration entstanden. Je nach Größe der vorhandenen Knöpfe aus dem lila Papier ein Quadrat scheiden und passend dazu etwas größer noch eins aus dem grünen Papier. Diese beiden aufeinander kleben. Die Knöpfe schonmal platzieren und dann mit einem schwarzen Stift das Netz aufmalen. Die Pailetten als Spinnenaugen auf die Knöpfe kleben und mit dem Gel-Pen das Gesicht vervollständigen. Die Knöpfe aufkleben und mit schwarzem Stift Beine dran malen. Dann vom Netz aus Fäden zu den Knöpfen runtermalen. Einen schmalen Streifen weißes Papier zurechtschneiden und mit einem dicken Marker schwarze Streifen aufmalen. Mit diesen Papierstreifen das lila Quadrat umranden. An den Schnittpunkten jeweils einen Brad anbringen. Dazu besser vorher mit einem Skalpell einen kleinen Schnitt machen, da die Tapete ganz schön störrisch sein kann. Um den Kartenrohling mittig das Schleifenband kleben, so das genug überhängt, um die Karte mit einer Schleife zu schließen. Auf das Band dann das Spinnenbild kleben. Zuletzt noch oben und unten mit dem Gel-Pen die Glückwünsche schreiben.
